Putting a Stop to Diarrhea!

When he first started treatment at CARN, Wilson Rene Barrientos Sagastume was irritable and listless –suffering from recurring diarrhea and gastrointestinal discomfort. He arrived weighing 20 lbs., 7 oz. showing signs of an at-risk nutritional status. When he arrived for his second appointment, he had deteriorated to moderate acute malnutrition attributed to diarrhea.

Thanks to the treatment, his demeanor improved, as did his psychomotor development. By the end of his treatment, his nutritional status was normal; he weighed 22 lbs. And measured more than 33 inches.
